2025 Term 4 News

Thank you all for being so supportive over this last term and for all your kindness. I must particularly thank Lisa and Sam for holding the fort for me when I haven’t been able to be in lessons, and for Lisa for completely running the Adult drama sessions preparing for the play, Stepping Out, this term.

All the pieces for the Summer show, The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, Romeo and Juliet and Stepping Out are already looking fantastic. We will be performing these on the 5th July as part of our big summer show with our whole drama school and all our groups, finishing with a finale that every student will participate in, which we will start working on next term. Tickets now can be bought from The Hippodrome box office online and at the theatre.

Massive congratulation to the cast of our National Theatre Connections play ‘Mia and the Fish’. Our NT Director/mentor Luke, was full of praise in his feedback for the talent, imagination, creativity, total inclusion, team work and kindness of the group. He absolutely loved our vision and commented on the general atmosphere of the drama community, the audience and the support from the families as being so welcoming and refreshing and that our group were everything the NT Connections Festival is about and stands for. To see this wonderful performance, there are still tickets available on the 27^th April at the Trinity Theatre Tunbridge wells, 7pm.

This is a totally student voiced/student led project. So far from the raffle and Go fund me, we have raised just under £500 to hire a coach for the students to travel to Tunbridge Wells, (thank you) but the coach costs £785. So we still have £285 to raise, so there’s no extra cost for parents.
